Willow

Hi! This is Willow. Sophie put something away in the computer room. She didn't see that I followed her in and she shut the door without checking. She'll come back in here again eventually to put something else away. As long as I'm stuck here I might as well write.

I should get mad at Sophie for shutting me in since it happens at least once a week. I've learned that we have to be forgiving of our humans. They try, but they will never be as perfect as cats are. It's good to practice sneaking skills, you never know when they may come in handy.

This is a good place to live. There is lots of room to run. I like running. I especially like running when someone is chasing me. I'm very fast so I know I'll never get caught. Barnaby has come close a few times. Fortunately I can hide under all the furniture. When I do that he can't get me.

He's a good brother. He's very vigilant and takes his job as Deputy House Cat seriously. Every time he goes into a room he will make sure that he looks out the window to see if there is any danger. The one drawback he has is that he is a little cowardly. When we have visitors he runs for the basement or another hiding place. It takes awhile for him to come back up. He'll wait on the basement steps for an hour sometimes to make sure the visitors are gone. I tell him that he needs to get over this fear. He may have to defend our humans by fighting intruders in the house. He's also very big and fluffy. I think visitors would enjoy petting him and seeing how handsome he is. Heaven knows Barnaby loves being petted. He's been known to beg for pets which is a bit undignified.

If I'm going to be stuck, this is a good room to be stuck in. There is lots of light from the window. There are good places to lay down.

One of the things I've noticed is that C is easy to rain. We get a gravy treat every afternoon. Sometimes C forgets. All I have to do is put a paw on his leg and mew softly, that is enough to get him moving. Lately he's been putting the gravy in a dish for us instead of licking it off the package. I think it gets shared equally that way.

It's close to naptime. I see a nice bin of sweaters. I think it will be a comfortable place to lay down and Sophie should be able to spot me when she comes in.

    Bye!
