Nice Things

I started writing about the two pound ball of yarn that I have and my attempts to find something to do with it. Halfway through writing I realized that only those who do fiber crafts would care about this topic. Having erased everything I wrote and wanting to get something out before the end of the week, I wasn't sure what to do. Then I looked outside. It's nice out there. The sun is shining. The sky is blue and there is no snow on the ground. The tulips are coming up as well as some day lilies. A topic had presented itself, I will write about nice things.

I brought up the amaryllis plants a week ago. It looks as though I will have a crop of nice green leaves this year. I don't see any flower buds. What amazes me about these plants is the speed at which they grow. I'll bet if I sat and watched them I would be able to see them move and grow. Although it's nice to have a flowers, I can be content with the green leaves.

Several weeks ago videos of ice dancers have shown up on You Tube when I look for videos. I clicked on one of them. It was Torvill and Dean performing at the Olympics. I was fascinated by how fluidly they moved across the ice and how effortless it seemed. They looked like they were having fun. More videos of the pair started to show up as usual when you watch something on You Tube. Ice dancing to me is more fun that watching ice skating because there is more artistry in the dance. It would be fun to see other ice dancing videos but all the ones that are showing up on my feed are Torvill and Dean.

We finally found a good brush for Barnaby. As a longer haired cat he needs to be groomed often especially since he seems to shed a lot. I can tell when I haven't vacuumed because small clumps of Barnaby fur show up in the corners. He's starting to enjoy short grooming sessions.  Barnaby is becoming more vocal. I love the chirping and mewing sounds he's starting to make. Willow is also starting to talk a little as well.

C and I have discovered the TV show The West Wing. I had seen clip of the show on You Tube and thought it would be a good show to watch. When C saw that it was available on a streaming service he subscribed to to watch the NCAA basketball tournament, we were both pretty happy. We did set some rules. To prevent binge watching we watch only watch two episode at a time and we watch it together. It's fast paced, but I find that I'm enjoying it as well as little things that tend to run from episode to episode.

This is just a few of the nice things I could think of from this week. There are more to find and I'm going to go out and find them.
